However, here, the questions are designed to assess your ability to make sense of an incomplete sentence and then choose the appropriate conclusion to the sentence. Depending on your goal, you may have more or less room to skip questions. Now, it may be tempting to infer (and lots of students do) that because the scaled score on the new GRE ranges 40 points (from 130 to 170), and because there are 40 total questions in each content area, the scaled score tacks up one point for every correct answer chosen.
